Homecoming

Homecoming refers to the return to a place of origin, and that idea is central to this painting. Through layered hills, cultivated fields, and a river anchoring this valley, I wanted to capture how this Quebec landscape holds family history. The small settlement speaks to generations who lived here, their presence both visible and invisible in the land itself. The soft light and distant mountains express the quiet significance of standing in a place tied to your own past, where geography and genealogy become one.
